About

Luna, a Bullmastiff mix, relaxing in her apartment
Meet Luna, the 110-pound reason The Big Dog Blueprint exists.

Big Dog. Small Space. Real Life.

Welcome to The Big Dog Blueprint, the story of how an unexpected Bullmastiff named Luna came into my life during a time when everything was already changing, and somehow became part of the next chapter.

I wasn’t looking for a dog. I certainly wasn’t looking for a 100+ pound dog to share my one-bedroom apartment. But sometimes life has a way of bringing you exactly what you never knew you needed.

**Her name was Luna. At five months old, she already looked like a full-grown dog, all paws and wrinkles and sleepy eyes, somehow both intimidating and completely ridiculous at the same time. I remember thinking, There is no way this enormous creature is a baby. **

Life With Luna

Living with a dog Luna’s size made me look at my apartment differently. Things I had never thought twice about suddenly mattered. Where her food and supplies went, how much room she needed to move around, what she could reach, and what needed to be moved out of the way all became part of everyday life.

What The Big Dog Blueprint is About

The Big Dog Blueprint is where I share that experience. You’ll find real-life stories, apartment-living ideas, enrichment, dog-proofing, organization, products I’ve actually used, and the everyday challenges that come with having a very big dog in a small space.

I’m not a dog trainer or veterinarian. I’m simply sharing what I’ve learned from actually doing it.

Come Along for the Ride

Life with Luna isn’t always neat or predictable, but it is never boring. If you’re living with a big dog in a small space, or just curious about what that life looks like, come along for the ride.

What You’ll Find in The Big Dog Blueprint

Luna may be the star of the story, but The Big Dog Blueprint is about the real-life experience of raising a large dog in a small space. Here, I share the routines, ideas, challenges, and little discoveries that come with making a one-bedroom apartment work for a 110-pound dog and the person who lives with her.

You’ll find stories from everyday life with Luna, along with practical ideas for apartment living, enrichment, dog-proofing, organization, and making the most of limited space. It’s not about having everything figured out. It’s about figuring it out as you go, sharing what works, laughing at what doesn’t, and finding your own way to make big-dog life work.
